Myrtle Hrobsky
1921 - 2006
Myrtle "Myrt" E. Hrobsky, 84, of Lakeland, formerly of 806 N. Water St.,
Watertown, Wis., died April 25, 2006, in Lakeland.
The former Myrtle E. Schwefel
was born June 10, 1921, in Watertown, daughter of Charles and Elsie Schwefel. She graduated from St. John's Lutheran Grade
School in Watertown and was a 1939 graduate of Watertown High School.
On Oct. 14, 1941, she married George O. Hrobsky at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Watertown. He
preceded her in death on June 3, 1996. She had been employed for many years at
the former St. Mary's Hospital and later at Watertown Memorial Hospital in the
bookkeeping department. She enjoyed reading and doing crafts. She was an avid
golfer.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Ken) Schwantes of Watertown and Mary (fiance
Kevin) Kautzer of Cloquet, Minn.; three sons, Charles
(Kathy) Hrobsky of Fox Point, Wis., James L. (Donna) Hrobsky of Watertown and John “Jake" (Val) nine
grandchildren, two great-grand-children, five stepgrandchildren
and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
She is further survived by three sisters, Ruth (Fred) Dobbratz of Madison, Wis., Marie (Ray) Dobbratz
and Ora (Louis) Kuckkan, both of Watertown; three
brothers, Ruben (Marji) Schwefel
of Dousman, Wis., Wilmar (Daisy) Schwefel of DeForest, Wis., and John Schwefel
of Watertown; nieces and nephews, other relatives and
friends.
A memorial service will be held May 13, at St. Henry’s
with the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother,
Roy; and a grandson, Gregory A. Nickels.
