Eleanor Hoffer

1906 - 1975

 

Mrs. Leo Hoffer, 69, 214 Cole Street, died December 16, 1975, at her home.

 

The funeral was at St. Henry's Catholic Church, the Rev. Harry Lauters officiating. Interment was in St. Henry's Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Hoffer, the former Eleanor Yahna, was born December 2, 1906 in the town of Shields, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Yahna. She had been a resident of the Watertown area her entire life.

 

Her marriage to Leo Hoffer took place May 6, 1930, in St. Henry's Church.  Leo preceded her in death May 24, 1973.

 

Mrs. Hoffer was a member of St. Henry's Church, the Christian Mothers, the Catholic Knights, Funsters; Golden Agers and Indian Garden Homemakers.  She was a volunteer worker for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
