Mildred Hampel

1912 - 2004

 

Mildred E. Hampel, 92, of Watertown, died July 19, 2004, at Marquardt Memorial Manor.  Funeral services were held in Bethany Chapel at Marquardt Memorial Manor with the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating.  Burial was in St. Henry’s Cemetery.

 

The former Mildred E. Lukas was born January 10, 1912, in Jefferson, daughter of John and Katherine Lukas. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School.

 

On Aug. 24, 1968, she married Walter Hampel.  He preceded her in death on October 23, 1984.

 

Mildred had been employed at Wisconsin Bell for 44 years. She was a member of St. Henry’s and the Telephone Pioneers.

 

Mildred was the last member of her immediate family.
