Alfred ‘Buddy' A. Haberkorn
1940 – 2010
Alfred “Buddy” A. Haberkorn,
69, of Watertown, formerly of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 23,
2010, at Bethesda Lutheran Communities in Watertown.
He was born in Watertown on Dec. 30, 1940, son
of the late Bernard “Ben” and Wilhelmina (Meitner) Haberkorn.
Buddy was a member of the St. Coletta family
from June 1966 until his move to Bethesda Communities in February 2009. He was an active member of the St. Coletta
Community for over 43 years working in their work programs.
He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Dorothy
Reinke of Waukesha and Rita (Robert) Lemminger of
Menomonee Falls, a sister-in-law, Leola Haberkorn of
Watertown; a brother-in-law; Roy Haberman of Waterloo; 14 nieces and nephews,
Karen Jovanovich, Joanne (Norman) Chaput, Jay
(Elizabeth) Haberkorn, David (Susan) Peschel, Barbara (Rick) Lischka,
Lynnette (Roy) Pooler, Roger (Maribel) Haberkorn,
Judy (James) Tyrer, Gene Haberkorn,
Claudia (Victor) Imrie, Clifford (Susan) Haberman, Ronald (Sandra) Lenz, Steven
(Catherine) Lemminger and Dale (Renee) Lemminger; 27 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 16
great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four
brothers, Joseph, Clarence, Edward and Francis; four sisters, Margaret Peschel, Lorraine Haberman, Mary Lenz and Dolores (Sr.
Lorita S.S.N.D) Haberkorn; three brothers-in-law,
George Peschel, Floyd Lenz and Robert Reinke; two
sisters-in-law, Janice Haberkorn and Blanche Haberkorn; a nephew, Gus Jovanovich; and a niece, Kim Haberkorn.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday
in the chapel on the Bethesda Campus, 600 Hoffmann Drive, Watertown, with the
Rev. Michael Schempf officiating. Burial
will follow in St. Henry's Cemetery in Watertown.
Visitation will be held on Thursday in the
chapel on the Bethesda Campus from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials preferred to be given in Buddy's name
to St. Coletta of Wisconsin or Bethesda Lutheran Communities.
