Elizabeth (Colby) Gritzner

1849 - 1930

 

Mrs. Elizabeth Gritzner, aged 81 years, widow of the late Charles Gritzner, a Civil War veteran, died June 29, 1930, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Richard Steinberg, 701 W. Main St., of paralysis.

 

She was born in Westphalia, Germany, on November 16,1849, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cobey, and she came to Watertown with her parents when 11 years of age.

 

Her funeral took place from St. Henry's and interment was in St. Henry's Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Gritzner's death was sincerely mourned by a large number of friends who held her in very high esteem.
