Philomena Fix

1907 - 2006

 

Philomena V. Fix, 98, of Watertown, died January 30, 2006, at Countryside Home in Jefferson.

 

Funeral services will be held at St. Henry’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Family burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.

 

The Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.

 

Philomena was born on Sept. 5, 1907, in North Dakota, daughter of Joseph and Regina (Fisher) Glas. In September 1927, she married Stephen Fix in North Dakota and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1982.

 

Philomena had been a resident of Watertown since 1982 and Milwaukee since 1936. She was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Elaine (Fred) Frommgen of Watertown; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was further preceded in death by a son, Harold (Audrey) Fix; two grandsons; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters.
