Jane E Feder

1920 - 2005

 

Jane F. Feder, 85, of Watertown, died May 4, 2005, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown with her family at her side, following a courageous battle with congestive heart failure.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.

 

The Hafemeister Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

The former Jane Paradies was born March 20, 1920, in Oconomowoc, daughter of Ferdinand W. and Laura T. (Hatzinger) Paradies. She married Theodore "Ted" Feder on June 25, 1938, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown.

 

Jane attended grade school in Oconomowoc and Watertown High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown and a former member of the Watertown Senior Center and AARP.

 

She was a 1935 graduate of St. Henry School.

 

Jane enjoyed crocheting, knitting and reading prior to her eyesight failure. She also enjoyed her pet birds and taking walks.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Marion Feder of Watertown and Evelyn Feder of South Send, Ind.; a daughter-in-law, Patti (Douglas) Schilling of Watertown; four grandchildren, Jane, Mary Jo, Tammy and Tara; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Shirley (Ernest) Krueger of Sturgeon Bay; a brother, Philip (Lil) Paradies of Menomonee Falls; a sister- in-law, Dorothy Eckhardt of Watertown; a sister-in-law and dear friend, Lorraine Feder of Watertown; good friends, Judy Fetkenhauer and Sandy Lange, both of Watertown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted H. Feder on Oct. 22, 1990; a son, Theodore "Teddy" J. Feder on April 20, 1995; her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice (Elton) Reinhard; and three brothers, Frederick, Roger and Gerald Paradies.
