Catherine Dondlinger

1916 - 2010

 

Catherine Dondlinger, 94, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

 

Catherine Smith was born on April 27, 1916, in Waukesha County, daughter of Thomas and Rosa (Graves) Smith.  On June 9, 1937, she married Michael Dondlinger at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Granville Center.  He preceded her in death on May 9, 1994.  She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. Catherine's faith, husband and family were very important to her.  She enjoyed gardening, canning and baking.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Brian Wilk officiating.  Burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery.  Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.

 

Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.

 

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Caudill of Oconomowoc, Margaret (Eldon) Maier of Oconomowoc, Ann Obrieght of Oconomowoc and Flo Pierce of Madison; her sons, Joseph of Oconomowoc, Peter (Pat) of Manitowoc, Thomas (Diane) of Watertown and Leo (Christine) of Minnesota; her grandchildren, Michael, Tammy, Michelle, Jason, Jeremy, Justin, Andrew, Karrie, Jacob, Nathan, Rachel, Jeffrey, Antonio and Crystal; her great-grandchildren, Macy, Michael, Rosalee, Gavlin, Kayla, Alexis, Hailey and George; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was further preceded in death by a daughter, Johanna; a granddaughter, Sarah; her parents; a son-in-law, Bud Caudill; three brothers, Elmer, Milton and Johnny; and three sisters Elsie, Florence and Clara.

 

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Terry Turke and the staff of AngelsGrace Hospice.
