Manuel R. Cruz Sr., 76, of Watertown, passed away on
Thursday, May 27, 2010, in Watertown.
Funeral services for Manuel will be held on Tuesday at
11 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown
with the Monsignor Daniel Ganshert officiating.
Visitation will be held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at the St. Henry Catholic Cemetery in Watertown. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to the family.
Manuel Robles Cruz Sr. was born on Jan. 2, 1934, in
Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the son of Ramon Robles, and Felicita
(Cruz) Robles. He was married to the
former Elsie Barbeaux on July 17, 1954, in Milwaukee.
Manuel is survived by three sons, David (Jacqueline) Barbeaux of Hartford and Manuel (Donna) Cruz Jr. and Steven
(Pamela) Cruz, both of Hustisford; one daughter,
Emily (Jeffery) Zarnowski of Watertown; four
grandchildren, Kyle (Shia) Zarnowski, Jesse Zarnowski, Natalie Barbeaux and
Shannon Hamond; three sisters, Maria Robles, Laura Robles
and Yolanda Del Toro Rios; five brothers, Faustino Robles, Herman Robles, Jose
A. Robles, Miguel A. Correa and Pablo Correa; and several nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a
brother, a sister, his parents-in-law, a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Manuel loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed eating, vegetable gardening and playing dominos.
