Dorothy Bergmann

1929 - 2006

 

Dorothy C. Bergmann, 76, of Watertown, died May 4, 2006, at her home.

 

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Bernard Rott officiating.

 

Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.

 

Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Watertown and on Monday after 9 a.m. at the church. A scripture service will be held on Sunday at 4:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

Dorothy was born Aug. 18 1929, in Edgerton, the daughter of Edward and Lillie (Bellin) Koch.

 

On June 12, 1948, she married Kermit Bergmann at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc. He preceded her in death on Jan.1, 2002.

 

Dorothy had been employed by the Watertown Daily Times. She was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed family picnics and holiday get-togethers, playing cards and trips to the casino.

 

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Heintz and Marge (Ken) Krueger, both of Watertown; her sons, Roger and Michael Bergmann, both of Watertown; seven grandchildren; a brother, James (Yvonne) Bergmann of Watertown; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Ed Kreuziger; other relatives and friends.

 

She was further preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward "Bud" Bergmann.
