Rose (Meyer) Becker

1903 - 2004

 

Rose Becker, 100, of Watertown, died July 22, 2004, at Beverly Terrace in Watertown.

 

A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Henry’s, the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial was in St. Henry’s Cemetery.

 

The former Rose Meyer was born November 9, 1903, in Watertown, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Schleicher) Meyer. On Nov. 26, 1927, she married Ernie Becker at St. Henry’s. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1978.

 

Rose had been employed at the former Mid-State Shoe Factory in Watertown. She was a member of St. Henry’s, the Watertown Funster Club and Watertown Senior Center, where she enjoyed volunteering. She also volunteered at the former Welbourne Hall in Watertown for 10 years.
