Sister Natalia Bauer

1899 - 1996

 

Sister Natalia Bauer, 96, of Janesville and formerly of St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged in Watertown, died March 18, 1996, at St. Elizabeth’s Home in Janesville.

 

A funeral service was held at St. Joseph’s Home Chapel in Watertown with Father Ray Aschenbrenner officiating.  Burial was in St. Henry’s Cemetery.

 

She was born October 13, 1899, in Bavaria, Germany, the daughter of John and Marie Bauer.  She entered the religious life with The Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul in Zams, Austria.  She came to the United States in 1929 and served in Kirkwood, Mo, and Watertown where she served as Novice Mistress.  In 1974 she joined the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of the Church.

 

The last member of her immediate family, she was survived by Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of the Church.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and other family members in Bavaria.
