Jeanette Achtziger

1937 - 2006

 

Jeanette C. Achtziger, 69, of Watertown, died unexpectedly November 17, 2006, at her home.

 

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Pederson Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Father Bernard E. Rott of St. Henry Catholic Church officiating.

 

Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects at the funeral home Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of service.

 

She was born January 23, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Katherine (Leoffler) Matias. She married Harold Achtziger on May 14, 1977, in Milwaukee. She worked at Briggs & Stratton-Milwaukee for 17 years, retiring in 1996. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Jack) Wolf of Oconomowoc and Robin Freudenstein of Menomonie; one son, Richard (Susan) Achtziger of Willow Springs, N.C.; nine grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; two brothers, Frank (Judy) Matias of Cleveland, Ohio, and Richard Matias of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Diane (Paul) Sabatino of Cleveland, Ohio; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on Nov. 27, 1986.
