Eighth
Grade Graduates, 2001
Students of St. Henry’s School who
graduated in May of 2001 were Chelsey Berg, Ashley
Bock, Angela Checki, Rachel Dondlinger,
Christopher Foelker, Thomas Gleason, James Grogan,
Patricia Kaul, Jessica Kopplin, Corrine McHugh,
Elizabeth Miller, Kelly O'Brian, Brian Peirick, Daniel Peirick, Benjamin
Pirkel, Sara Woodard, and Jamie Zimmerman.
Diplomas were signed by Bishop
Bullock of Madison and Rev. Bernard Rott presented the sermon. The students'
homeroom teachers from kindergarten through eighth grade were present as well
as family members, friends and faculty. Members of the St. Henry School Choir
were accompanied by Barbara Beier and directed by
Deborah Spoerl.
Following the service a reception
was held in the school cafeteria to honor the graduates and was sponsored by
the seventh-graders. Students who received the President's Education Award in
recognition of outstanding academic achievement were Chelsey
Berg, Christopher Foelker, Thomas Gleason, Jessica
Kopplin, Elizabeth Miller, Kelly O'Brien and Sara Woodard.
To receive the award students must
have attained a 3.5 grade point average from fourth grade through the first
semester of eighth grade. Students must also have received an 85 percentile
composite score or higher on a standardized test.
