Take Part in Women's
Retreat

More than 50 women gathered at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church for the seventh annual Women's Retreat on Oct. 14.
The planning team represented seven local churches. Members of the team included Irene Hohman of Immanual Lutheran ELCA, Lea Fischer of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Mary Rhodes and Nancy DeCono of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the Rev. Barbara Berg of Watertown Moravian Church, Karen Fluegel of Marquardt Village, Barb Phelps of Christ United Methodist Church, Karen Till of St. Henry's Catholic Church and Amy Engebose of St. Michael's Lutheran ELCA.
The morning began with a welcoming address by Irene Homan and the Rev. David Keesey-Berg.
A short prayer mediation was given by Dee Savides, followed by a solo from Michele Beine. She was accompanied by Ruth Christensen.
Participants then attended the first round of sectionals, “Aroma Therapy" by Vicki Larsen, "GOAL" by Gloria Poth, and "Movement” by Beth Mueller.
Following refreshments, a second round of workshops were offered, "Wellness Through Prayer" by Karen Till, "Transition and Life Changes" by Sharon Hass and "Nutrition" by Mary Rhodes. The closing meditation and music were led by the Rev. Barbara Berg, with Ruth Christensen as accompanist.
