ABSTRACT:
Edward and Mary Ellen Peirick,
The celebration began with a Mass in
their honor at St. Henry Catholic Church. A dance followed at Turner Hall.
Peirick and the former Mary Ellen Tyson were
married May 2, 1942 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richwood by the Rev.
John Devers, C.S.C. Attendants were Margaret Grade, Leonard Peirick,
Marcella Jentzsch, Robert Mischler,
Joanne Blank, and ushers Clarence Peirick and the
late John Wuestenberg.
Prior to moving to Watertown in October
1983, the Peiricks farmed in the town of Shields. Peirick has played the concertina and button accordion for
69 years in the Freddy Dettmann Band, Town &
Country Dutchmen and his own band, the Ed Peirick
Band. His wife is a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul, St. Joseph's Home for the
Aged, Bethesda Lutheran Home and Watertown Memorial Hospital.
The Peiricks
have eight children:
