“I will praise your name
forever, my king and my God.”
Psalm 145:1
I am sure you have all heard the invitation
issued so enthusiastically by our pastor, Father Brian, to come to as many
sessions of the upcoming mission. It is
a joint parishes’ effort and, as a result, the first two sessions on Sunday and
Monday evening will be at St. Henry and the next three, Tuesday through
Thursday, will be at St. Bernard. Both
begin in the churches at 6:30 pm with refreshments served afterwards. As you probably noticed in the church
bulletins, there is childcare available for children 5 and under and a
“Children’s Mission” for those ages 6-9.
Older children are welcome at the sessions in church with their parents.
If you need childcare for the little ones, you are asked to call Steve Menzia at 261-8782 so they can prepare for the numbers expected.
Call Kathy at 261-3539 if you plan to have children 6-9 coming. Since “the Redemptorist Missionaries, known
and requested nationwide as inspirational speakers . . .will be leading the
mission,” this truly seems to be a gift for us from above. Its theme is “God is calling – Will you
answer?” Please say yes!
You will find in your family envelope today
a sign-up sheet for the upcoming Parent-Teacher conferences. With the information you give us, we will
assign you a specific day and time for each child. That saves you a lot of waiting around
time! Obviously, we need your information
back on Monday or Tuesday so we can map out that schedule and get your specific
information back to you next Friday. It
is a requirement at St. Henry that at least one parent attend a conference. Both are great. It is optional whether or not children attend
along with the parents. We do, however,
ask that everyone honor the time constraints.
Teachers will be happy to schedule another time to meet in the near
future if it turns out you could use more time together.
"We'd like to take this opportunity to
thank everyone who participated in Market Day this month - our regular
customers as well as those who purchased pies. We sold over 100 pies
putting us into the 30% profit tier!! Thanks to your supportof
this program, we raised over $650 in November for the Home and School
Association. Hurray for us and for HASA!! Thank you and enjoy those
pies!! -Katie Schroeder & Patrice Walter, Market Day
Co-chairs"
