The Home and School’s annual “Make a Difference” Blood Drive is tomorrow, Saturday, the 23rd.  If you didn’t get a chance to make an appointment, please consider stopping by anyway in the Parish Center (gym) between the hours of 8 am and 1 pm.  Walk-ins are certainly welcome.  Talk about a good cause!  The Scholastic Book Fair folks also plan to be there during that time and after the weekend Masses on Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th.   Again, our gratitude to all the generous volunteers.

Just checking.  Did you sign up at Pick n Save for their program to help non-profits, like us?   We sure appreciate your sending in the Campbell’s labels, Box Tops for Education, milk caps and empty toner cartridges too.  God bless.

We have a Veterans’ Day tradition here at St. Henry School and that’s to invite any parents who are presently serving or have served in the Armed Forces to a free hot lunch as a tiny sign of our admiration and thanks for their sacrifices on behalf of all of us.  Because of ordering necessities, Mrs. Dannenberg, our hot lunch manager, would like to know by Tuesday, the 2nd, if you are able to come.  Just send a note or leave a message on the answering machine please.  This year the 11th is on Thursday.  Most of the children, weather permitting, will be attending the parade and service at the Main Street bridge on that day as well.

You will find the minutes to the most recent Home and School Association meeting on the back.  Just a comment about what a wonderful organization this is – it’s WONDERFUL!   And it is the most democratic one we have in the sense that any parent can come any time and that person’s input is given the same attention as anyone’s on the regular board.  Anyone at the meeting also votes on any decisions made at that meeting.  One last incentive for coming to these meetings is that attendance at them may “count” for service hour’s time.  Besides, the company is great.  What’s not to like?
