A big reminder for anyone who has not had the “Protecting God's Children” class.  It's one of the three “musts” to be on the diocesan-approved lists for any volunteer work with children.  We are having one tomorrow, Saturday the 18th, here at the parish.  It begins at 9:30 am and should be done around noon. It is actually held in the parish office building (aka rectory aka priest's house) which is attached to the north end of the church.  For meetings like these, people enter though the back door which is off Cole Street.  (Cole Street is one block north of Cady Street and parallel to it.)  The rectory hall designation means it is being held in the large meeting room in the basement. The stairs to it are just inside the back door.  If you haven't had a chance to register online at Virtus.org, come anyway.  I (Mrs. Butzine, the principal) will be the facilitator for this one.

You will notice there is an Education Commission meeting this coming Tuesday.  Anyone is welcome to attend.  If people would actually want to address the Commission, they need to get permission ahead of time from the Commission president, Mrs. Ruth Tesensky (920) 206-9276.  This Commission is an advisory body, and under the auspices of the Parish Council and the Pastor, Fr. Brian Wilk.  It has responsibilities related not only to the school but to the entire education mission of the parish, including children in (public school) religious education, youth ministry, and adult enrichment.

Today you will receive information containing an order blank for school pictures.  This is an optional service; no one has to get these!  All children will be included in the class picture, whether or not, pictures were purchased and every student will receive a class picture.  Note that you can order online and/or send along the order with a check on or before the picture date of Wednesday, September 29th.

Have a lovely weekend.  The Lord be with you and your loved ones!
