“See, the Lord God is my help; who will prove me wrong?”

                 Isaiah 50:9a

Dear Moms and Dads,

Just a few items on this sad anniversary.  It’s still mind-boggling, isn’t it, that those towers went down?  May the healing continue.

Tomorrow, Saturday morning, beginning at 9:30 am is that “Protecting God’s Children” workshop.  It’s so worthwhile – and absolutely necessary for all employees and anyone who ever wants to volunteer with children in any of our diocesan parishes and schools.  If you haven’t had a chance to register, come anyway.  I’ll have some extra things.  Please come in the Cole Street back door of the rectory and down the stairs; the rectory is the building attached to the north end of the Church.  We’ll be finished around noon.

Good luck to all the girls in the volleyball tournament at St. Paul’s Ixonia this weekend. St. Paul’s is the parish off SC via highway 16 east on your way to Ebert’s Garden and Nursery.  I always describe it as the “gingerbread” church because of it’s architectural “decorations.”  Probably not a professional term.  Have fun, Girls – and Parents.  Go, Hawks!

I noticed in the Daily Times that the excellent program, “Becoming a Love and Logic Parent” is being offered again at the Watertown Family Center.  Honestly, most of us who are familiar with a number of such programs think this is the most sensible, most practical  and it actually works!  It’s even fun.  We heartily recommend it.  It will be on Thursday evenings, beginning September 24 and finishing October 29.   Free childcare available.  Always popular.  Call ASAP 261-2450 to sign up and get your questions answered.
