The music program last night was a delight from start to finish.  Thank you, Mrs. Oestreicher, students, teacher collaborators and everyone involved.  What a fun evening!

In your envelopes you will find a permission slip for students to attend the Disney movie Oceans.  Towne Theatre called with an offer we could have refused but after checking some of the informa-tion about the movie decided not to.  It promises to have truly worthwhile things for every age group whether it be a greater appreciation of God’s magnificent creative handiwork to environmental and science concepts.  More specifics on the permission form. You will also find the 2010-2011 contracts (and aid applications for those requesting one) in your envelopes.  Please return ASAP. Thank you.

If at the last minute you and your spouse decide you could use a little fun break tomorrow night, I am fairly sure you could come for the dance lesson at 6 pm.  You remember seeing the flyer last week.  Because those who did respond this week did not request babysitters, we won’t be offering that but for $10.00 a person you could learn some great dance steps.  Please consider coming!  The eighth graders will be grateful especially since their car wash last week was not a booming success given the very un-lovely weather last Saturday.  Not only did the Badger Car Wash owner not charge the students the normal $2.00 per car to use the facility, he made out a $50.00 check to contribute to them because they were such nice kids and he felt bad the day was such a dud!  How nice was that?

Haven’t had a chance to fulfill requirements yet to be on diocesan approval list for volunteers?  Two opportunities coming up to get in the excellent, mandatory class “Protecting God’s Children” which usually runs between one and a half to two hours long.  This coming Thursday one will be held at the First Congregational Church which is basically across the street from Riverside Middle School. It will start at 6:00 pm.  Please leave a message for Mr. Weissenborn, our religious educa-tion coordinator at 261-7273 if you plan on coming since they are providing subs for participants because of the supper hour time. You can also sign up via the internet at Virtus.org.  The class is at this site since the four-churches Sports Life Bible Camp June 14-18 is being held there this year.
