“Were not our hearts
burning within us while
He spoke to us
on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?”
Luke
24:32
Wasn’t the spring program delightful? Thank you so much, Mrs. Oestriecher
and students!
Next Sunday is our Open House event to which we are
counting on all of you to invite potential families. People from Catholic parishes without schools
are more than welcome. Even
non-Catholics who would love this very safe and family friendly environment
with its wonderful teacher-student ratio and Christian values permeating the
excellent curriculum might want to investigate the possibility of giving this
gift to their children. Please don’t hesitate
to reach out and offer to give the grand tour yourselves! Many of you will be here anyway for the
athletic registration that weekend.
Could we also ask you “Facebook” folks to consider
posting an “event” on your page and inviting one and all to the Open
House? Let your “Twitter” friends know
too that we would love to see them here on May 15! That’s a Sunday morning between 9:30 and
noon. Faculty and ambassador families
will be here to greet and answer questions.
The Enrollment Management Committee is convinced that YOU parents are
our best PR tool. So thank you for
taking the time and making the effort to reach out to family, friends, and
acquaintances with school-age children.
And please assure them that the one obstacle that should never stop them
is money. For families for whom the full
tuition would be a burden, there is help.
Speaking of tuition, the Parish Council did approve
the 2011-2012 budget presented to them by the Finance Committee at last week’s
meeting. The tuition for parents with
one child in K-8 next year will increase by $1.92 a week or $100.00. For those with two or more children, with the
$100.00 increase for the first child, only a $25.00 increase on the second, and
no increases for other children in school, their total increase will amount to
$2.40 a week whether they have two or ten children in school! Aid applications can be downloaded from the
school homepage of the sainthenryparish.org website or a paper form will be
sent home upon request. Give a call or
send a note! To sum up tuition costs –
and please remember we have no registration fees or book bills – for K-8
children, the first child’s tuition will be $1800 a year; second child’s $1175,
third child’s $950, and any additional children $650. All those are true gifts since the actual
costs tend to run over $4000 per child.
No doubt our parish continues to support a Catholic education for their
children as it has been doing since 1854!
Remind interested parties that parents can pay this bill on a twelve month
basis as well.
We are also sending home with this letter some letters
that homeroom teachers have written sharing a little about the specialness of
the grade or subjects they teach. Please
enjoy them yourselves and share with others.
If you would like more copies, we would be happy to oblige.
