“Be holy for I, the Lord your God, am holy.”

                 Leviticus 19:2

Clocks spring ahead this weekend.  How wonderful to enjoy more natural light as Lent leads us to the LIGHT of the world, made bright as the sun at Easter.  Lest I forget this very important announcement . . . Because of Lenten school Stations of the Cross in church at 2:30, “Popcorn Friday” has become “Popcorn THURSDAY” until after Easter vacation!  (8th graders really appreciate everyone’s support.)

Our fellow Christians at Maranatha Bible College have invited the music lovers among us to a special concert on Friday, March 13 at 7:00 pm in the Maranatha gymnasium at 745 West Main Street.  Stanislava Varshavski and Diana Shapiro are acclaimed in Europe as one the finest modern day piano duos. The both studied under the famous American pianist Victor Rosenbaum. The cost is only $5.00 and information about purchasing can be attained by calling 206-2356.

On Milwaukee’s channel 10 Public Television Station, Love and Logic’s Dr. Charles Fay is presenting the program. “How to Make the Best of Sibling Rivalry” tomorrow, Saturday morning, from 7:30 to 8:30 am. I suppose none of you with two or more children could use much help with this but maybe some of your “friends” could!  Great opportunity and the price is right.

Mrs. Beltz would really appreciate some offers of help with the upcoming HASA Dance on Friday, March 27th.  Given that everyone will need their fifteen service hours slips turned in on or by April 15th, this is a perfect opportunity for those of you who still need a few in order to avoid some extra tuition costs.  Please call her at 261-7248.  Those service hours, by the way, are a contractual requirement for parents of K-8 children.

Athletic Assoc. COACHES and PARENTS of student participants.  Please make sure that all uniforms are cleaned and returned in clearly labeled bags within a week of the last game. Coaches, your keys need to be turned in to either Mrs. Butzine at school or Mrs. Haberkorn at the rectory within the same time frame. Thanks!

We had a wonderful presentation by Mr. Mark Petersen on our Penny War recipient, Hometown Mission. May our battles next week and beyond to Thursday, March 19 be a source of help for many local people in distress.
