St. Henry Students
–“Soaring with the Lord!”
I’m sure most of you heard about the tragic
accident last weekend that took the lives of a father and his son, a sixth
grade student at St. Joseph School in Fort Atkinson. Please keep them and their
family and friends and all the St. Joseph community in your prayers for quite
awhile. Such a tragedy!
Prayers too for Mr. Mike Ruehlow’s mother who died this week. Mike is our full time maintenance man whose
cheerful and willing spirit helps make this environment such a good place to
be. I know he’ll appreciate your
thoughtful remembrance of his family to the Lord.
Three cheers for the hard-working students
below whose grades on their second quarter report cards should have made them
justifiably proud.

Have you made your reservation for the
School Families Weekend in the Dells at the Wilderness the weekend of May
15-17? If you have misplaced the number
and the code for reservations, please call school for it. Just a probably unnecessary caution: if people use that number who do not have
children in school, they will end up paying full price since registrations will
be checked. The whole purpose of HASA
arranging this is to provide a nice experience for school families to do
something together and to help foster that Christian community support for each
other. Thanks for understanding!
Recently a parent tried to email me using
an old email address. For future
reference, the old sthenr@straphael.org is no longer in use. You can email me at francine.butzine@straphael.org
or, I’m told by the diocesan computer support people, this would work too: watertownshs@straphael.org. (I never knew that until I checked on the old
address’ viability!) All of the parish
staff do have emails listed on the front of the weekend parish bulletin, in
case you ever need them. Those same diocesan
people said you could email the parish at watertownshp@straphael.org. I didn’t know that either. Live and learn.
Just another quick reminder that on Monday,
the 16th, picking up children at 3:00 pm will be a little more difficult than
usual due to the diocesan meeting mentioned in the note that went home the
other day. Hope the dismissal went well
today!
The public school asked us to share the
following information about summer school 2009.
We have a significant change this year with
a May 1st deadline for elementary registration. Early bird registration will be
Saturday, March 21st, 2009 at Lincoln School from 8:00 am until noon. There will be no guarantee for those students
that turn in their applications after May 1st. They will be put on a wait list.
There will be absolutely no walk-ins on the first day of Summer School.
Please notice that you are invited to the
Weather Show being presented this coming Wednesday. Details in the calendar below.
The Dinner Auction was great fun. So many wonderful items and generous
bids. God bless EVERYONE involved in any
way.
Did you check out all those great pictures
on the website? Weren’t they delightful?
Have a lovely weekend!
