Speaking of the website, there is an entertaining slide show of pictures you would probably enjoy viewing. Thank you to Mr. Ken Riedl for taking the time to do that.  You can see it on the school section of the parish website sainthenryparish.org.  We owe a debt of gratitude to Mrs. Smedema, one of our upper grade middle school teachers, who takes the majority of the pictures and sends them on.  Thanks too to Mr. Tom Meitner who created a disc of them for our “Hey, Look Us Over” Middle School Night.  Believe it or not, there were a number of brave souls who ventured out despite the very dicey weather Monday night and we had a truly nice evening.  God bless everyone who came and all those who helped.

Just a word about eight-year-old Josh O’Brien for whom there is a brat fry planned at Pick n Save on Saturday.  Josh attended school here as a kindergarten student until March of 2008 when he began having severe seizures.  Since then he has had over 45,000 of them and is on multiple daily meds.  He underwent a brain surgery a few weeks ago.  The family is hoping to obtain a therapy seizure dog and is very grateful for all the efforts made to help raise the funds to do that.  We are planning to dedicate our annual Lenten Penny War drive toward this goal as well.  Please keep this family – Dad is a graduate of St. Henry and is currently a Parish Council member – in your prayers.
