William F. Yandre, 316 North Montgomery Street, died last night after an illness, to which infirmities of age were a contributing factor.  He was a native of Germany and was 88 years of age. He came to this country when he was nine years of age, accompanying his parents.

Surviving are one stepdaughter, Mrs. Meta Hendricks, Lake Mills, and three sons, Ed Yandre, Orlando, Fla.; Ben, Milwaukee, and Arnim Galesburg, Ill.  There are two brothers and one sister, Gustav, Lake Mills; Frank, North Prairie; Mrs. Lena Hooper, Lake Mills.  There is one grandson, Tom Yandre, a naval officer now on duty in Oregon.

Mr. Yandre was a member of a Methodist church at Madison.  At one time he had been a farmer near Milford.  He retired in 1912 and moved to Madison.  His wife died there ten years ago.  In 1939 he moved to Watertown.
