Edith “Edie” M. Schwoch
1930- 2018
Edith “Edie” M. Schwoch, 87, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, May 31,
2018, at Marquardt Health Center in Watertown. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2
p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Anthony Schultz
officiating. Burial will take place at Oak
Hill cemetery in Watertown. Family
and friends may gather at the church on Sunday from noon until the time of the
service. Light food will be served. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be
appreciated to the charity of one’s choice.
Edith Marie Burrow was born on Sept. 7, 1930, in the town of Erin, the daughter of Lee “Pappy” and Lydia “Bobby” (nee Gehrls) Burrow. She was a 1948 graduate of Horicon High School. On Oct. 4, 1952, she was united in marriage to Willis “Bill” Schwoch in Beaver Dam. Bill preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1999. Edie had been employed at John Deere in Horicon as well as Shopko in Watertown, from which she retired.
She was a member of
St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, American Legion Post 189 and the Wethonkitha Club. She
loved animals, wildlife and spending time with her family.
Edie is survived by
her children, Cathy (Harry) Eiss of Bloomington,
Minnesota, Cindy (Scott) Krause of Watertown, Jeff (Deb Edwards) Schwoch of Watertown and Jay (Shelly) Schwoch
of Kewaskum; grandchildren, Amanda (Timothy Jr.) Sabin, Brad (Heidi) Krause,
Aaron (Ruth) Krause, Justin (Emily) Krause, Kyle Krause, Amber (Daniel)
Guthmiller, Joshua Schwoch, Adam Schwoch,
Brandon Schwoch and Samantha Schwoch;
12 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Charlotte) Burrow; special friend,
Audrey Zautner; special buddy, Trixie; as well as
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was further
preceded in death by her parents and sister, Delores Burrow in infancy.
