Phyllis M. Krueger
1929 - 2014
Phyllis
M. Krueger, age 84 of Watertown, passed away on Friday morning, Feb. 21, 2014,
at the Marquardt Health Center in Watertown. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at
2 p.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Dean
Natterstad officiating. Burial will be
in the Oak Hill Cemetery
in Watertown. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from
noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested
to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society of Jefferson
County, American Diabetes Association Research Foundation or the Jefferson
County Foster Care Program. The Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown

Phyllis Mae Krueger was born
on April 9, 1929, in Watertown, the daughter of Paul and Frieda (Lueck) Hoppe.
She was a 1947 graduate of the Watertown High School. On June 24, 1950, she
married Robert Krueger at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown. Phyllis and
her husband, Robert, provided foster care. She had been employed at Ray’s Red
Goose Shoe Store in Watertown. She and her husband owned and operated the
H&R Block office in Watertown. Phyllis was a lifelong member of Immanuel
Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of the Watertown Senior Center,
where she spent many afternoons playing cards. She was
very talented in the art of quilling, designing and making holiday and special
occasion greeting cards. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and
friends.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Robert of Watertown; three children, Kent
(Sue) Krueger of Watertown, Charles Krueger of Watertown and K. Scott (Shari)
Krueger of Johnson Creek; two grandchildren, Kalvin Krueger and Abigail Krueger,
a sister, Harriet Balmer of Hartland, nieces, nephews other relatives and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in- law David Balmer.
