Phyllis R. Guetzlaff

1928- 2019

 

Phyllis R. Guetzlaff, 90, of Watertown, passed away on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at Dycora Transitional Health and Living in Watertown.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Chapel in Watertown with the Rev. Justin Cloute officiating.  Family and friends may gather at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown.  Memorials, if desired, may be directed to the Watertown Humane Society or a charity of one’s choice.

 

Phyllis Ruth Ruzek was born on Sept. 24, 1928, to Wenzel and Minnie (nee Reheaum) Ruzek in Watertown.  She was a graduate of Watertown High School.  On Sept. 10, 1949, Phyllis married Herbert Guetzlaff.  Phyllis enjoyed helping at the humane society, knitting and playing bingo.

 

She is survived by her children, Gregory (Sharon) Guetzlaff of Reeseville, Cyndra Eaton of Mesa, Arizona, Michael Guetzlaff of St. Charles, Illinois, Laurel (Lonnie) Haas of Watertown; grandchildren, Eric (Tracy) Guetzlaff, Kevin Guetzlaff, Jennifer Eaton, Jessica (Michael) Gazzano, Jaime (fiancé

 

Will Gutermilch) Bloomer, Ryan (fiancée Nathalie Estrada) Eaton, Nickolas (Brittany) Haas, Travis Haas, Cameron Haas, Tiffany Haas; sister, Lois Birkholz; nieces, a nephew, other relatives and friends.

 

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Herbert Guetzlaff; grandchildren, Cassi Haas, Bradley Eaton; siblings, Eunice and Wenzel in infancy.
