Marian Doubleday

1925 - 2006

 

Marian J. Doubleday, 80, of Watertown, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Watertown Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Splinter officiating.

 

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.

 

Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family.

 

Marian was born on Oct. 17, 1925, in Watertown, daughter of Louis and Hannah (Vanderbush) Doubleday.

 

She had been employed at the Ira Henry Box Factory. Marian was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and she enjoyed working puzzles and doing crafts.

 

Survivors include three sisters, Mildred Wirth of Milwaukee, Nancy (Franklin) Griep of Watertown and Joan Fendt of Watertown; a brother, Robert (Dolores) Doubleday of Medford, Ore.; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lois Grulkowski; and two brothers, Roger and Eugene Doubleday.
