Jennie Cooper nee Mentink
1872 - 1908
Mrs. J. A. Cooper died on Sunday, July
5, 1908, at the home of her mother, Mrs. J. W. Mentink,
409 Western Avenue. She had been ill with Bright's disease for about a year and
a half. Her husband and a four-year-old
son survive her. Tuesday afternoon her
funeral was held from the home to Oak Hill cemetery, Rev. H.
C. Rehm of the Congregational
Church conducting the services.
Deceased was born and reared in Watertown, her maiden name being Jennie Mentink. After graduating
from the Watertown High school she was employed for years at the telephone
exchange in this city up to the time of her marriage on June 8, 1903. She was a lady who was greatly beloved by a
large acquaintance, all of whom learned of her death with sincere sorrow.
