Paul G. " Barber" Buske

Paul G. " Barber" Buske, 90, a lifelong resident of Johnson Creek, died on Tuesday, 21 January 1997, at Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek with the Rev Joyce M. Heintz officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.

 

Buske was born 1 March 1906 in the town of Farmington, son of George and Ida (Pautz) Buske.  He married the former Sylvia Strache on 22 December 1935 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ixonia.

 

Buske was a graduate of Johnson Creek High School and Moler Barber College in Milwaukee.  He owned a barber shop in Johnson Creek for 65 years and also worked at Jamesway Manufacturing in Fort Atkinson for 24 years.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, serving on the church council and as an usher.

 

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra (Dan) Rullman of Watertown; two sons, Dennis (Geri) of Fairview Heights, Ill, and Steven of Seattle, Wash, six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife on 15 October 1983, his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
