William F. Arndt Dies on Sunday
Funeral Services to be Conducted Wednesday
Afternoon at 1:30
William F. Arndt, 505 North Sixth Street,
died at his home Sunday forenoon following a stroke. He had been in good health and had been
working daily up to Saturday.
He was born in
Watertown on May 13, 1873,
a son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Arndt and spent most of his life in this
city. He was married Nov. 2, 1898 to Mathilda Schultz.
She survives, as does one daughter, Mrs. Eugene
Pfeifer, Milwaukee. Also surviving are
three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Henry Deglow,
Mrs. Emil Zick and Edward Arndt, Beaver Dam, and Mrs.
Joseph Edwards, Hubbleton. There are six grandchildren.
Mr. Arndt was a
member of the Moravian church here and of the Men’s Bible class. He was also for many years a member of the
board of trustees of the Congregation. For many years he had been maintenance
man at the Wolfram
Shoe Co. plant here.
The funeral will be
held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30
o’clock from the Nowack Funeral home,
with services at 2 o’clock
in the Moravian church. The Rev. Arthur
E. Schwarze will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at
the funeral home Tuesday from 3
to 9 p.m. and Wednesday up
to the time of the service to pay their respects.
