entire stock of shoes and rubbers of Schatz’s Shoe Store will be sold at about
60 cents on the dollar.

Mrs. Mathilda Schatz died on Tuesday, October 13, 1908, at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Grube [Aurelia], of paralysis, aged 72 years. Deceased was born November 29, 1836, in
Germany and in 1851 located in the town of Ixonia,
Jefferson County. On the death of her
husband, the late Ferdinand Schatz, 17 years ago she removed to this city and
went to reside with her daughter. Two
sons and two daughters survive her, being Otto Schatz, Mrs. H. G. Grube and Miss Adel Schatz of this city, and Bruno Schatz
of Ixonia. Saturday
afternoon her funeral was held from her late home and her remains will be
interred in Oak
Hill Cemetery.
