1945-2012
Michael W. “Mickey”
Howard, age 67, passed away surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, Dec. 25,
2012, at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service
will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of
Christ with Pastor John Kennedy officiating. Family burial will be held at a later date in Oak Hill
Cemetery. Family and friends may
call on Monday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church,
the American Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice, would be
appreciated.
Michael W. Howard
was born on Nov. 18, 1945, in Watertown and was the son of Herman and Bernadine
(Ceman) Howard. He served in the Marine Corps from 1963-66,
serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. On
March 7, 1969, he married the former Vivian Pantely
in Madison. Mike was a lifelong resident
of Watertown and a lifelong member of First Congregational United Church of
Christ. He had most recently been a
salesperson at Lakeland Auto in Oconomowoc, prior to his retirement. Mike enjoyed gardening, reading, animals and
spending time at Frank’s Café with his coffee group.
Survivors include
his wife Vivian, their daughters Angela Howard of Milwaukee, Toni (Dan) Farrell
of Minocqua and Pam (Brandon) Howard Blaszak of
Milwaukee; grandchildren Justin Howard, and Nicholas and Tyler Oxford; a sister
Gaye (Ron) Edlund of Waukesha; a niece Mollie (Dale)
Fischer; his two dogs Rufus and Tyke; also survived by two brothers-in-law,
three sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and
two brothers Anthony and Gregg Howard.
