Dorothy P.
Becker, 87, of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at LindenGrove in New Berlin.
A Mass of
Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Henry
Catholic Church in Watertown, with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert
officiating. Burial will be at
the parish cemetery.
Relatives
and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home
on Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m.
until the time of the service. Memorials would be appreciated to the charity of
one's choice.
Dorothy
Pauline Kocinski was born on June 22, 1924, daughter
of Bronislaus and Frances (Naczek)
Kocinski in Milwaukee. On June 1, 1946, she married James “Jim” A. Becker
at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Dorothy was
a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown and was active in Christian
Mothers. Dorothy had been employed at Value Village and Kohl’s Department
Store, both in Watertown. She enjoyed sewing and baking. She loved spending
time with her family, loved laughter and enjoyed life to the fullest. Dorothy
always cared about everyone and had a generous heart. She will be greatly
missed by family and friends.
Survivors
include her five children, Ron (Jan) Becker of Elk Grove, Ill., Bob (Jan Ellis)
Becker of Zionsville, Ind., Laurie (Jim) Zimmerman of McFarland, Jeff Becker of
Milwaukee and Judy Koeberl of Greendale; nine
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, cousins,
other relatives and friends. Dorothy was the last member of her immediate
family.
She was
further preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim on July 28, 2009; a
daughter-in-law, Jan (Schopf) Becker; a brother,
Leonard Kocinski; and a sister-in-law, Lucy Kocinski.
The family
would like to thank the entire staff of LindenGrove
in New Berlin for their care and kindness to Dorothy.
