West Avenue House last Saturday, and hastily eating his dinner he went into the
office, picked up Superintendent of schools John A. Hazelwood’s hat, and
skipped before he was observed. When Mr.
Hazlewood finished his meal at the hotel he missed
his headgear, and not being able to locate it, he found it necessary to invest
in a new hat. WG

04 07 BELVIDERE
REOPENED
The
New Belvidere hotel in West Main Street with W. Murphy of Columbus, manager,
was opened to the public Sunday. A
feature of the opening was a delicious dinner served at the moderate price of
thirty-five cents which was greatly enjoyed by the partakers. The hotel is practically a new one, having been
thoroughly remodeled a year ago when all modern improvements were placed for
the comfort of the guests. Mr. Murphy
comes from Columbus well recommended as a hotel man, who should make good in
Watertown, and if attention to business and the comfort and wants of patrons
count, there is no question as to the result. The hotel is nice, clean
and airy with good ventilation and the table is all that can be desired by the
traveling or local public. The Watertown News, 07 Apr 1911
