10 09 DEATH OCCURRED TODAY FOLLOWING
OPERATION
For Many Years a Well-Known Dentist in
Watertown
Watertown people were shocked
this afternoon to learn of the death of Dr. U. Neal Barber which occurred in a
hospital at
Dr. Barber was a son
of the late Dr. M. N. Barber, one of the oldest practicing
physicians in Watertown at the time of his death. He was born here and was educated in the
local schools and after graduating in dentistry engaged in professional work
here for almost thirty years and during which time he built up a fine practice
from which he was obliged to retire several months ago owing to ill health.
Dr. Barber was possessed of a
genial and kind disposition which focused many friendships which once attained
remained with him during life. His life
was devoted to the profession which he graced by his ability. Born and brought
up in this city he held the esteem of all citizens and his influence was always
exerted on the side of right. He was a
man of generous impulses and withal a man greatly devoted to his home in which
he took keen delight and in his passing the city loses an upright and
conscientious citizen and the widow left to mourn a devoted and loving husband.
Dr. Barber was born
The body will be brought to
Watertown this evening and the time of the funeral will be announced later.
Is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
